In a small or medium organisation, every team member must accomplish many different tasks.  It is a big challenge to keep track of all these tasks, and to be sure that the are all executed in the right order, with the right priorities, with the right competenties.

As an organisation grows, it is evenly important to be able to define these tasks,  and to reassign them do different users, but allways keeping in mind that, by reassigning, we want to be sure that all tasks are still executed.
